Five

Christ died for my sins... 5 words, I can say them in under 5 seconds, none of the words are more then 6 letters long, Yet it would take me an eternity of constant meditation to comprehend the true meaning.

Name:
Location: some place, new york, United States

I am a flower quickly fadeing here today and gone tomorrow, a wave tossed in the ocean... a vapor in the wind, still you hear me when I'm calling, Lord you catch me when I'm falling and you told me who I am. I am yours

What's your life like.... An apple, orange, kiwi, or watermelon?

I made this up myself its very profound and reveals a lot about yourself so follow the instructions and find out if you are an apple, kiwi, watermelon or orange.

If your walking down the street and someone falls down next to you..
1)you laugh and help them up
2)you help them up and ask if they are okay
3)you just laugh then walk away
4)you pretend you didn't see them fall and walk away

If you walking down the street and a dog approaches you and starts barking....
1)you shoot the dog with a 12 gauge
2)you avoid eye contact with the dog and keep walking
3)you start growling at the dog and make the dog pee is pants
4)you pet the dog

If you were walking down the street and saw an elephant walking in the street with Arabian Knights riding on it your first thought is....
1)I wonder if they have a magic lamp and a genie
2)you think its some kind of government conspiracy
3)you wonder why its there
4)you assume its part of a parade

Your walking down the street and a man walks by you, your first instinct is to..
1)spit on him
2)give him a free soda, freshen up pack, chocolate, or hot drink
3)completely ignore him
4)quote a Napoleon Dynamite phrase.

Your walking down the street and a police man drives next to you really slowly..
1)you assume its Mr. Stickler playing a prank on you
2)you run away as fast as your legs can carry you
3)you spit on his car
4)you go about your business as usual

In all these questions you have been walking down the street, what street was it..
1)market street
2)Beartown road
3)the high way
4)the road right next to your house

in all these questions you have been walking down a street why were you walking in the first place..
1)going to the store to run an errand
2)walking to a friends house
3)your on an out reach
4) why ever you flippen want to

take the number of the answer you picked and add all the numbers together to find out what you are

1-7 you are a water melon
8-14 you are a kiwi
15-21 you are an apple
22-28 you are an orange

Spurgeon on Christmas

"Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son,
and shall call his name Immanuel."

Let us to-day go down to Bethlehem, and in company with wondering shepherds and adoring Magi, let us see him who was born King of the Jews, for we by faith can claim an interest in him, and can sing, "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given." Jesus is Jehovah incarnate, our Lord and our God, and yet our brother and friend; let us adore and admire. Let us notice at the very first glance his miraculous conception. It was a thing unheard of before, and unparalleled since, that a virgin should conceive and bear a Son. The first promise ran thus, "The seed of the woman," not the offspring of the man. Since venturous woman led the way in the sin which brought forth Paradise lost, she, and she alone, ushers in the Regainer of Paradise. Our Saviour, although truly man, was as to his human nature the Holy One of God. Let us reverently bow before the holy Child whose innocence restores to manhood its ancient glory; and let us pray that he may be formed in us, the hope of glory. Fail not to note his humble parentage. His mother has been described simply as "a virgin," not a princess, or prophetess, nor a matron of large estate. True the blood of kings ran in her veins; nor was her mind a weak and untaught one, for she could sing most sweetly a song of praise; but yet how humble her position, how poor the man to whom she stood affianced, and how miserable the accommodation afforded to the new-born King!

Immanuel, God with us in our nature, in our sorrow, in our lifework, in our punishment, in our grave, and now with us, or rather we with him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and Second Advent splendour.

-C.H. spurgeon

Life goes on

Well I thought of something really profound to write on my blog during school... But I forgot what it was... I imagine it had something to do with an apple. Oh well life goes on. It is officially Christmas break.. Or because we are now a politically correct school I guess we are supposed to call it a "holiday break" whatever, it's all yittish to me. Tomorrow we (Jess, Alex, P.J., and I) are going on a road trip to pick up Mr. Kimball's car. That should be fun. Tomorrow is my dad's birthday to. Then its Christmas Eve. First church service without the catalites.. That should be sad.. Yet fun because its Christmas Eve... I guess it will be bitter sweet.

Wow only one more day until Christmas break!! That's insanity!! Christmas really snuck up on me. I kinda wish I had more time to enjoy the season. Today we learned about Christianity in global studies. It was really depressing to here my global teacher ramble on about the cross with absolutely no passion in her voice, no realization of what it really meant.

oh yeah.. Great news (this is especially great news for the Cornfields and Jen) in gym we are doing SQUARE DANCING!!!!! We can totally learn and the teach you guys!!! Isn't that so fun!

An old hymn

God be with you till we meet again

God be with you till we meet again;
by his counsel, guide uphold you
with his sheep securely fold you
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again:
neath his wings protecting hide you,
daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again

God be with you till we meet again
when life's parils thick confound you
put his arms unfailing round you
God be with you till we meet again

God be with you till we meet again
keep loves banner floating o'er you
smite deaths threatn'ing wave before you,
God be with you till we meet again

Evening Solace
The human heart has hidden treasures,
In secret kept, in silence sealed;-
-The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures,
Whose charms were broken if revealed.
And days may pass in gay confusion,
And nights in rosy riot fly,
While, lost in Fame's or Wealth's illusion,
The memory of the Past may die.

But there are hours of lonely musing,
Such as in evening silence come,
When, soft as birds their pinions closing,
The heart's best feelings gather home.
Then in our souls there seems to languish
A tender grief that is not woe;
And thoughts that once wrung groans of anguish
Now cause but some mild tears to flow.

And feelings, once as strong as passions,
Float softly back--a faded dream;
Our own sharp griefs and wild sensations,
The tale of others' sufferings seem.
Oh! when the heart is freshly bleeding,
How longs it for that time to be,
When, through the mist of years receding,
Its woes but live in reverie!

And it can dwell on moonlight glimmer,
On evening shade and loneliness;
And, while the sky grows dim and dimmer,
Feel no untold and strange distress-
-Only a deeper impulse given
By lonely hour and darkened room,
To solemn thoughts that soar to heaven
Seeking a life and world to come.

-THE END-[Currer Bell] Charlotte Bronte's poem: Evening Solace

we're falling apart without Amanda... Literally, Alex just broke one of the cupboard doors off it's hinges!

Yesterday was a Snow day!!

Indeed yesterday was a snow day. Which is all because Alex and Jesse did the snow dance with their bare feet the night before... (it had nothing to do with all the snow we got) yeah thrursday night I watched part of Napoleon Dynamite... It's still pretty much as stupid as last time. Then I went to bed cause I'd been flippen' tired the whole week long. On Friday we went to prayer meeting, we came home... Chilled for a while then went to buy snowpants for the upcoming snowball battle at the Cornfeild's. That was a bunch of fun.... My team lost, but me and Jenn had fun so that's all that mattered. Then later we had pizza then a Go team at the mall. Then me Alex and Amanda went shopping while others were at King Kong (or should I say Hong Kong) when we got back cassie was still at our house and we leg wrestled. All I can say is the at one point I was taking both Amanda and Cassie on at the same time and I schooled them (just kidding.. I've never been flipped so fast in my life) then I had fun in Amanda's room with glowsticks but eventually we got tired and went to bed but I just slept in Amanda's room... Cause I couldn't be bothered to sleep in my own bed room, then I awoke, well rested and energized after a good day. Like cassie's conscience once told her "tis better live life and be tired then to sleep life away"

It's official!

The results are back and I am officially squirrelly!!
the 3rd time makes it a fact.
that's right I've been called squirrelly 3 separate times by 3 separate people...
well that's all I have to say......

no its not..... I wore my new scarf today!! From YSOS!! And just a note on the side I hope the Cornfields are enjoying my beautiful artwork!! The next time I come to your house I better see it on the wall!! :)

so it's snowing again...The beauty is taking me breath away yet again as I look out the window... But with the snow brings something else... And that of course is a hope to all the students of a chance of a snow day!!!! I was talking to Mr. Wood today, our principal (he drops by and has a conversation with us every once in awhile since he had lunch with us that one time) he said (strictly a guess) that if it started snowing before school got out we would have a snow day cause he figured it was only going to get worse. All the after school activities were canceled... So that's promising and I'm going to wear my p.j.'s inside out and backwards like all the other West high students and we are again going to perform the snow dance:)

but if not that's o.k. I still want to have a snow ball fight with somebody!!!!

NARNIA continued...

To alll those that commented on my last post, especially Adam, we saw the Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe yesterday!!!! It was great and in no way was it disappointing, C.S. Lewis roxs my soxs but Jesus dying on the cross (the real syblolism behind Narnia) is so awesome, and the way that that amazing happening is conveyed through a beloved book/ now a movie is so amazing. As for the movie I have just a few things to say, I laughed, I cried, I squeezed amandas hands through the scary parts,and........ balarney!!!
and just a note on the side, we also went to see the Victory Highway performance yesterday... Me and Cassie had a little to much fun sitting next to each other though...

Weekend

So this is how my weekend went,on Friday we had a go team!!!! And on Saturday morning we brought cereal over and had breakfast at the Cornfeilds with Chris. On Saturday evening I went to sparkle, it was not all it was cracked up to be; I was cold, but it was an enjoyable experience mostly because of the company. We had rice pudding!! That was good stuff. And we almost got lost quite a few times. Then we eventually went to sleep. Then it was Sunday.... Which of course means CHURCH!!!!! And after a great sermon given by Mr. Snapp, me went to McDonald where Adam and I figured out all the kids games on the little place mat on the tray, we were very proud of ourselves... Anyway, then we went to P.J. and emily's concert and sat front row!!! I never want to here that many songs about bells ever again!! Just kidding they were really cool. Then we went to a coffee shop in Mansfield and stayed for a long time. Then we went home and all had dinner and rice pudding at our house. Then Chris and Adam gave us their dance dance revolution game. Cassie, Jesse, Alex, Amanda, and me all had a lot of fun in the basement playing that game!!!! (but the songs got stuck in my head)
an Monday the Catalites went to Niagara falls and Alex took his 5 hour course!!
now it is Tuesday 6:50 and I must go to school!

Random Facts

I got these off the internet so I don't know how much they can be trusted...... But they are fun!!!
and remember... Studies show that most studies are taken by heavily biased and opinionated people and are therefore incorrect information....

-96% of people put the peanut butter on first when making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich

-45% of Americans don't know that the sun is a star.
(if this is true, which I doubt, I am very scared)

-53% of women in America would dump their boyfriend if they did not get them anything for Valentine's Day.

-75% of all raisins eaten by people in the United States are eaten at breakfast.

-96% of candles that are purchased are by women.

-Annually Americans eat 45 million turkeys at Thanksgiving.

-Children laugh about 400 times a day, while adults laugh on average only 15 times a day.

by popular demand.... the banana tree!!

This is the only picture of the banana tree i have so i hope you enjoy!!!
